2020 RTOs Forum welcomes returning and new contracted WA providers

The Department’s Training Resource Allocation (TRA) team manages the purchase of training delivery services for Western Australia’s VET sector, under Jobs and Skills WA, across a range of programs including apprenticeships and traineeships. There are approximately 165 RTOs currently contracted in WA to provide training services.

TRA works closely with TAFE colleges and private registered training organisations (RTOs) in the planning and management of service agreements and contracts for training delivery, and providing support. RTOs are provided with an abundance of information such as contractual obligations, reporting, payment and audit requirements, which can sometimes be challenging to manage.

At today’s 2020 RTOs Forum, attended by existing and new contracted registered training organisations (RTOs), a new website design to improve support for contracted providers was launched. Developed in response to feedback gathered from clients through 2019, the new website design contains all of the information, resources and tools needed to help understand, administrate and manage a contract. It also explains the contract process and obligations, to help RTOs who may wish to apply for funding.

The new website was received very positively at the forum, with RTOs commenting that it’s easy to use and information is easy to find. We look forward to continuing to support our contracted providers, and working with you in 2020.
