Department launches new Reconciliation Action Plan

This week individuals and organisations across Australia are celebrating National Reconciliation Week.

The Department of Training and Workforce Development embraces the spirit of reconciliation and is committed to providing services to assist Aboriginal people to gain skills and qualifications leading to a rewarding career.

On Thursday 1 June, the Department launched its new Reconciliation Action Plan 2017–2019 that strengthens our commitment to celebrating Aboriginal culture and heritage, engaging respectfully with Aboriginal partners, and continuing to work towards closing the gap on Aboriginal disadvantage.

Acting Director General Anne Driscoll said she was delighted to launch the Department’s second RAP which builds on programs and initiatives already in implementation.  “The Department of Training and Workforce Development plays a key role in helping Aboriginal Western Australians to acquire vocational skills, qualifications and employment”.
