Muresk Institute brings the best knowledge and skills to WA

Muresk Institute is passionate about bringing the best training, industry knowledge and skills to Western Australians. A new one day course to benefit the WA livestock industry – 'Building a better cow' – will be offered for the first time at Muresk in March, and presented by renowned industry experts Dr Enoch Bergman and Dr Cliff Lamb. The course is tailored to individuals working within the livestock industry and focuses on specific areas of beef production.

Dr Bergman, originally from Colorado, has been a partner of Swans Veterinary Services in Esperance for the past 14 years and Dr Lamb is the Head of Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University. Together the pair have a long association with commercial livestock producers throughout Australia and the United States of America and will share innovative strategies for improving herd structures.

Muresk Institute General Manager Prue Jenkins said it was a coup for the WA livestock industry to have Dr Bergman and Dr Lamb present at Muresk Institute. "Dr Bergman and Dr Lamb have extensive experience in the area of beef production and can offer insights and innovative ideas for the WA livestock industry," she said. "This is an example of Muresk Institute at its best, bringing industry experts and the Western Australian agricultural industry together to learn the latest techniques and improve ways of working."
