New Jobs and Skills WA website launched!

The new Jobs and Skills WA website is now available at jobsandskills.wa.gov.au.

Jobs and Skills WA is a new brand representing the publicly funded vocational education and training (VET) sector in Western Australia – in particular, the investment in training that equips people to take up jobs that are, or will be, in high demand. To support this, the new Jobs and Skills WA website is a one-stop online shop for Western Australians, bringing information and resources about vocational education and training, careers and jobs together for the first time in one place. The website also offers some exciting new features.

Course search
Search through all publicly funded VET courses and qualifications available through Western Australia’s TAFE colleges and private training providers.

Jobs board
Look for employment opportunities, including apprenticeships and traineeships, on the free online jobs board. Employers can also use the jobs board to advertise employment opportunities. There is also a free online jobs board for Aboriginal jobseekers.

Career exploration
Whether you’re just starting out on your career path, or working towards new career goals, jobsandskills.wa.gov.au has a great range of information and resources, including a collection of ‘day in the life’ occupational videos, to help with your career planning.

Aboriginal services
If you're an Aboriginal person looking to get into training, find employment or further your career, you will find a range of culturally sensitive training, employment and career information available to assist you, including a jobs board with employment opportunities for Aboriginal people. You can also join the Deadly Jobs page on Facebook to keep up to date with all the latest about employment opportunities. 

Resources for employers
The website offers useful information, templates, links and resources for employers, business and industry, to assist you to better plan, attract, develop and retain a skilled workforce that can help you reach those business goals now and into the future. 

News and updates
All the latest news and updates related to vocational education and training, careers and jobs will be available on the website’s news page, and you can keep in touch and up to date via the Jobs and Skills WA Twitter and Facebook social media channels.

The new Jobs and Skills WA website is also where you’ll find information about the Jobs and Skills Centres. The centres offer free career, training and employment services to students, jobseekers and career changers, and culturally sensitive career support services for Aboriginal people. For employers and business, the Jobs and Skills Centres can provide recruitment assistance, including apprentices and trainees, information on training solutions and services that can be customised to meet enterprise-specific needs, workforce development advice, and resources and advice on Aboriginal recruitment and retention strategies. Five Jobs and Skills Centres, located at metropolitan TAFE campuses, opened on 16 April. Regional Jobs and Skills Centres will open progressively in 2018/19, and in the meantime, services from Five Jobs and Skills Centres, located at metropolitan TAFE campuses, opened on 16 April.
